What’s the next best thing if you can’t actually take a trip around the world?
A trip around the world at Epcot, of course!
When visiting Epcot’s World Showcase, it is very easy to miss all that each country represented has to offer because your so focused on food and attractions. But your missing out on the attraction from each country!
There are 11 countries represented in World Showcase and when you enter you can choose to go right or left. The order of the countries you visit will depend on which way you go. I prefer to go to the right, so I’ll give you the countries in that order.
United States (The American Adventure)
While you can easily see these countries from the main walkway, most of them have more to explore that you can’t see from the front. For example, Canada has a beautiful waterfall back by Le Cellier Steakhouse that is absolutely gorgeous.
If you make your way through the Morocco pavilion, you can meet Princess Jasmine.
In the Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan pavilion, you can experience the Pick-a-Pearl and take home a unique souvenir. There is often a bit of a wait here, but it it well worth it; and you can browse the store while you wait. They make a pretty big deal out of this, so it is definitely worth it for both the unique souvenir and a really fun experience!
In Norway, make sure to ride the new Frozen Ever After ride (Fastpass+ definitely recommended!).
Or take a trip with the Three Caballeros on The Gran Fiesta Tour.
This is just a small sampling of the fun to be found as you go around the world. Each country has shops and restaurants that truly allow you to experience the culture of each destination. Plus there are various types on entertainment exclusive to each country in World Showcase…you’ll want to grab a Daily Times Guide so you don’t miss something you want to see.
If you choose to only visit part of the countries, you can take a boat across the World Showcase Lagoon back to the entrance of World Showcase. The Lagoon is also the location of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, a nightly show with fireworks, music and laser lights. It can be viewed from anywhere with a good view of the lagoon and is a spectacular way to end a day of exploring around the world!
